Well, true, this century seems lazy. While the 90's had memorable years left and right, the 00's are probably thinking "We already had big stuff in 2001 and there are nine decades ahead of us to be memorable. Besides, it is easier to talk about 'the twenties' and 'the sixties' than 'the zeros' or even 'the tens', so we'd better not have stuff happen for at least another twenty years.".
