I did have to dig it from under twenty mangas, but I played honestly: this was the book nearest me (and mangas are not books, c’mon). “Edgar Allan Poe – Selected Poems & Tales”, illustrated by Mark Summers, introduction by Neil Gaiman. Page 56 is right in the middle of “The Fall of the House of Usher”. And I am extremely glad I never found a place for this behemot in my shelves, because the other nine books near me are dictionaries.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being, de Milan Kundera. O único livro que tenho comigo aqui em Madrid. Aliás, essa cena do livro é até bastante memoravel.

A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, do Joyce, edição da Penguin. Não faço a menor idéia do que trata a cena, já que nunca li o livro. (Eu fingi que dicionários não contavam; vamos lá, dicionários e códigos são tomos de referência, não livros de literatura.)
Se dicionários, códigos e mangás não contam…
